The ARES 13" Experimental "AAC Honeybadger" Style Airsoft Rifle makes for an excellent all around platform for all types of warfare. Constructed from durable lightweight nylon fiber reinforced polymer, this rifle can take the punishment of hard game play without risking the overall integrity. Internally, the ARES Version 2 is crafted made from durable cast zinc alloy and features a quick-change spring system for easy adjustment of FPS based on the battle conditions. This next-level gearbox utilizes a micro-switch trigger for better trigger response, giving the shooter a snappy trigger pull.
The gearbox is also compatible with the aftermarket ARES fire control unit (not included) for programmable burst fire as well! The gearbox also features the gambit of industry standards such as metal gears and high strength polymer piston parts for maximum rate of fire. The textured pistol grip houses a high-torque motor that can power almost any strength spring. A pre-installed 6.03mm tightbore barrel makes for increased accuracy at any distance. Players can use the 2-position adjustable stock to quickly adjust the overall length of this rifle for easier maneuverability in tight situations. Two QD sling mount points allows for the use of a sling for easier transportation when not in use. The aluminum CNC free-float rail system allows for the attachment of accessories such as lights, lasers, grips, optics, and more.
It comes with 4 railed sections and more can be installed as well. The upper receiver comes with detachable rear sight and integrated, railed tip-up front sight. The lower receiver sports the engraved ARES Amoeba trademarks and emblem. The front of the magwell is also textured for shooters who hold the magazine and magwell when firing. An over-sized magazine release button makes for quicker magazine change, getting you right back into the action. With dual hand-stops and non-functional internal suppressor, the look of the popularized "AAC Honeybadger" rifle is truly a unique rifle! The included Amoeba high-cap magazine is stippled and grooved to maximize grip. It also has a viewing port reviewing faux-bullets for added realism. I had looked at this gun in the past but I thought it was all polymer. I had the opportunity to actually shoot one and I was hooked, so it just came down to where I'd get it. I researched several companies and decided upon Airsoft Station because their customer service reviews were easy to find and peruse and their price for the AM-013 was comparable to other vendors.
I was very pleased with the turnaround time from order to receipt. I've ordered from other companies (Airsoft Megastore is one) and the lag time from initial order to the order actually going out the door for shipping has been largely unacceptable. That was not the case here! I'd recommend Airsoft Station to anyone!
The Amoeba is awesome as well. Chrono was 401 fps with .20 and a 7.4 lipo, but I'm running .30 now, so I'm sure it is a little less. Trigger response is CRISP and this thing shoots hard and accurately! If you're thinking of buying one, make sure to get a PEQ sized battery or it will not fit in the battery compartment.
I'd recommend the gun and the company to all!

Pros: excellent cqb gun shoots at 375 fps at a very high fire rate. Easy spring change system, very durable build. I recommend running a 7.4 lipo.
Cons: wobbly mag but accepts most m4 and masada mags i prefer masda mags, they fit perfect in the mag well. The iron sites are flip up plastic.
