Echo1 Wolfsbane M1911 Blowback Gas Airsoft Pistol, Black

The Wolfsbane isn’t exactly low-key about its design and aesthetics. It has a big “Wolfsbane” insignia on the left side of the barrel and “Aconitum Lycoctonum” prominently inscribed on the right. On the top of the barrel, you’ll find cool-looking artwork and the Echo1 logo.

The hashmark textured grip helps provide a nice, comfortable feel in your hands, which is always an important factor, particularly in wet conditions.

You get an extended magazine that holds 31 rounds straight out of the box, which isn’t really typical for airsoft weapons. It also comes with a compensator (not installed by default, but included in the box), which reduces muzzle recoil.

In fact, it boasts a snappy and crisp recoil – not too forceful and violent, but still gives you decent amounts of feedback when the trigger is pulled. The reset might be a bit understated, although it does what it’s supposed to do. The trigger throw is perfectly short. 

The biggest downside of the pistol is its mag release. The large release button is great, but the loose mechanism and the size of the button make it very easy to drop the mag accidently. The release spring is so sensitive, in fact, that just laying the gun on the release side is likely to activate the mechanism. It’s quite a shame, seeing as how this is not a common problem with most airsoft pistols. However, replacing the release spring with a stiffer one will solve the whole problem.

This comes with a federally mandated blaze orange tip.
