The FN Herstal SCAR-L Airsoft Rifle is the newest LPAEG option from Cybergun, and is the perfect choice for beginners and gun enthusiasts alike. Based on the modular assault rifle in service in over 20 countries, the SCAR was originally developed for use by the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and has been skillfully replicated for use as an airsoft skirmisher. The SCAR-L body, upper, and lower receiver is constructed completely of high quality, long lasting ABS plastic to keep the overall weight of the rifle low and manageable even for all day battles. This rifle comes equipped with a full metal gearbox and high quality bearing and bushing set to ensure rapid and smooth gear change. Utilize the adjustable ABS Front and Rear sights to zero in your enemy without the help of an optic accessory. Accessorizing your rifle is part of the fun, and the SCAR-L makes it easy to add a wide range of tactical options thanks to the top Picatinny rail system and quad sided Picatinny handguard. Choose from grips, optic sights, tactical lasers and flashlights to fully outfit this rifle any way you see fit. The adjustable folding stock (right side), and ambidextrous trigger and magazine controls allows all players to operate this rifle without any restrictions on performance, and can easily be adjusted to CQB or long range battles. By combining a durable ABS build with the power and accuracy needed to take out the competition, the FN Herstal SCAR-L is an AEG that will surely resonate with players of all skill levels and play styles.

Not terrible but not great. It's been a while since I purchased any airsoft gun, especially AEGs, but I guess the prices have gone up. If $160ish is a good price for a starter gun, then by all means this is good. It has the quad picatinny rail with full-length upper rail, single/auto selective fire, 3 position adjustable cheek rest, 6 position adjustable buttstock, foldable stock, adjustable hop up, and flip up adjustable front and rear iron sights. I believe it had a full-metal gearbox and 1 hi-cap STANAG mag. Dual-sided sling mount points. Lightweight construction. Cons: -Buttstock adjuster would get caught on an internal metal guide -Cheekrest had some sharp plastic points that actually hurt, especially if moving fast. -Mag release would not drop mags (pro or con?, con for me), have to shake the gun or pull them out -I tried one metal STANAG mag from an LR300 I had and it was way too tight -All plastic outer construction (there are some AR-15 style with full exteriors, but idk about internals) -Front sight adjustment pin always fell out (also i think was broken as it couldn't adjust the front sight) -NOT ambidextrous fire selector or mag release, as advertised on the box (right hand only) Overall, fun for an entry-level or kid's starter AEG or a throwaround one (adjustable stock really helps for different sized people). I guess most other AEGs now are $200-$400 so this may be a good buy for the price. I was simply expecting more for this price.
