The AGM MK96 answers a straightforward question: how do you get into the sniper role without running an HPA tank or worrying about a battery dying mid-skirmish? At 435–450 FPS on 0.20g BBs, this bolt-action spring rifle sits right at the outdoor sniper cap most fields enforce. You cock it, you shoot it, you move on. No chronograph dance with a tech, no voltage to manage, no gas to refill between games.
What the velocity actually means. Rated 435–450 FPS on 0.20g BBs, which clears typical outdoor sniper limits (450 FPS bolt-only) and puts you in the semi-auto-only DMR range if your field runs that distinction. Indoor CQB fields cap around 350 FPS, so this is not for that environment. As always, chrono with your own BBs before your first game—temperature and BB weight both move the number.
What's in the box and what you'll need. The rifle ships with a folding metal bipod and a 24-round magazine. That mag capacity is honest for a sniper platform—you'll be reloading more often than with a high-capacity AEG, and that's part of the role. The rifle weighs 8 lbs with an overall length of 44 inches, so it's a committed carry, not a backup.
Heavy BBs are not optional. Skip the light ammo. This platform performs best with 0.36g to 0.40g match-grade BBs. Heavier BBs hold their spin better, resist wind drift, and actually use that velocity to achieve effective range. A 450 FPS gun shooting 0.20g will drop faster and wander more in wind than the same gun shooting 0.40g. The fixed hop-up chamber provides consistent backspin once set.
Externals and fit. The upper receiver, barrel, and bipod are metal; the stock is impact-resistant polymer. That keeps weight down while maintaining a solid feel. The top Picatinny rail accepts any standard optics mount. The bipod folds when you need to move and deploys for stable shooting positions. The Green colorway is consistent across the stock and furniture.
Before you buy. This is a dedicated sniper platform, not a versatile CQB gun. At 44 inches and 8 pounds, it's not the rifle you grab for tight indoor fields or quick reaction work. If your primary role is trading shots at 150+ feet on open terrain, this is the right tool. If you want something that can switch between CQB and field, look at an AEG with a DMR spring instead.
Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
