Armor is great until you need to roll, crawl, or do first aid on the field. Quick-release pads solve that by letting the hard shells detach when you move, then snap back on when you need them again.
When the quick-release mechanism fires — triggered by pressure against the plate when you drop to the ground or pull on the tab — the outer shell separates from the strapped backing, which stays on your leg or arm. You can roll, drag, or crawl unencumbered, then press the plate back into its pocket and hear it lock down. Same cycle for both the knee and elbow pads.
The tan color sits under standard FDE loadouts and doesn't clash with a desert or neutral kit. You get the knee pads and elbow pads in the same color, so your whole set matches.
