Ambidextrous Extended Magazine Release Catch for M4/M16 AEGs, Grey

Most of the frustration in a mag change happens before the mag even leaves the well — finding the button with your thumb through gloves, or having to break your grip entirely to get enough leverage. An extended mag release moves that control forward and outward so you can pop a mag with your palm instead of your thumb tip.

This is a CNC-machined aluminum unit, gray finish, weighing 9 grams. The extended paddles give you a larger target to press against when you're wearing tactical gloves.

Ambidextrous, actually. Both sides are functional, so left- and right-handed players get the same enlarged paddle and the same release feel. You can switch hands mid-game without repositioning.

Compatible with most M4 and M16 AEG lowers — Classic Army, Tokyo Marui, G&G, KWA — without any receiver modification. The included Star Key is the specific tool you need for the detent pin swap, so you don't have to source it separately.

What to expect on install. The conversion is straightforward if you've swapped a mag release before: remove the detent pin, pop out the stock button, seat the new unit, and replace the pin. The Star Key gives you the right torque on the pin. If this is your first internal part swap, watch a video first — the detent spring wants to go flying if you don't control it.
