Army Armament's AUG Replacement Hop-Up Unit is a direct polymer replacement chamber for Army Armament AUG series AEGs, for when the original has cracked, stripped an adjustment detent, or lost its ability to hold a setting. That last symptom is the one worth recognizing: if the gun shoots well for the first few magazines and then starts dropping shots low, the chamber isn't holding pressure on the bucking anymore. Cleaning won't fix a cracked or worn unit, and a fresh bucking in a bad chamber will still disappoint. Fitting it means getting into an AUG, which is a more involved strip than an M4, so take photos as you go, keep small parts in a tray, and check that the barrel seats properly and the bucking aligns before closing everything up.
