Cycon's Real Steel Gun Cleaning Oil is a petroleum-based cleaner made for firearms, and it works the same way on the metal parts of an airsoft gun. Wipe down an outer barrel, metal receiver or steel part after a wet game to prevent corrosion and clean grime off external metalwork. It's not for the inside of an airsoft gun, though: petroleum attacks rubber and many plastics, so it will swell and destroy a hop-up bucking, gas magazine seal, o-ring or piston head. For lubricating internals, keep a separate bottle of silicone oil.
