If you want a gas blowback pistol that feels like the real thing, the Hi-Capa platform is where most players start. The Double Bell 795-1 is a 5.1-style GBB with a metal slide and polymer lower frame, giving you realistic recoil and slide lock without the weight of an all-metal build.
What the velocity means for you. Rated 300–340 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That sits inside most indoor CQB caps and clears typical outdoor sidearm limits. As with any GBB, temperature and gas pressure will move the number, so chrono before your first game.
The GBB experience. Green gas powers both the blowback and the shot, so you get a reciprocating slide and a working safety. The trade-off is consistency: output drops in cold weather, and you burn gas with every shot. If you're after pure reliability and a tight budget, an AEG pistol wins. If you want the manual of arms and realistic recoil, this is the right call.
Internals and upgrades. The Hi-Capa platform is one of the most supported in airsoft. The slide, barrel, hop-up bucking, and recoil spring follow TM-spec dimensions, so replacement and upgrade parts are widely available. Popular first mods include a precision inner barrel, a high-degree bucking for tighter groupings, and a lighter recoil spring guide to help the slide cycle cleanly on lower-pressure gas.
What comes in the box. The pistol, a 25-round double-stack magazine, and the manual. Green gas and BBs are not included. You'll also want a silicone oil bottle for routine seal maintenance—GBBs need it more than AEGs.
Before you buy. This is a competition-style platform designed for speed draws and tight grouping, not for trading shots with a long-barrel AEG. The 25-round capacity is realistic but means frequent reloads on a fast game. If you're new to GBBs, budget for at least two extra magazines and a good quality green gas.
