Echo1 M28 Bolt-Action Airsoft Sniper Rifle w/ Bipod, Black

The Echo1 M28 answers a specific need: how do you get into the sniper role without spending sniper money? At 530 FPS on 0.20g BBs, this bolt-action rifle sits squarely in the sniper velocity class, clearing the 450–550 FPS ceiling most outdoor fields set for bolt-only platforms. That means you're looking at minimum engagement distances around 75–100 feet, and you'll want to verify the number at your field's chrono station before you show up. This is a rifle built for holding a position and trading shots at distance, not for running and gunning.

How the internals are laid out. The M28 uses a hybrid approach: the cylinder assembly is proprietary to Echo1, but the hop-up chamber and barrel threading follow the VSR-10 standard. That combination gives you a solid foundation with an open upgrade path. If you're ready to tune, the trigger box can handle the stress of the factory spring, but many builders swap in a CNC metal piston and reinforced steel sear set as a precaution. From there, a VSR-10 compatible precision inner barrel and a high-degree hop-up bucking tighten the air seal and improve shot-to-shot consistency—the two things that actually decide range, not raw velocity.

What the specs mean in practice. Rated 530 FPS on 0.20g, which is the industry standard for quoting velocity. At that speed, lighter BBs will over-hop and wander in wind. You'll want 0.40g or 0.43g match-grade BBs to stabilize the trajectory and hold a line past 150 feet. The rifle ships with an 18-round magazine — realistic for a sniper role, but you'll want spares if you're the only sniper on your team.

Externals and fit. Metal barrel assembly and metal bolt give you a rigid structure, while the full polymer stock keeps the overall weight manageable. A folding metal bipod is included, which is the right tool for stabilizing shots from a prone or supported position. There's an integrated top scope rail for mounting optics, and a functional manual safety for safe handling. The black finish is straightforward and utilitarian.

Before you buy. This is a spring-powered rifle, so there's no battery or gas to manage—just cock, load, and fire. That also means no automatic fire and a manual bolt cycle after every shot. The velocity puts it outside typical indoor caps, so expect outdoor-only use. If your field requires MED enforcement for anything over 450 FPS, you'll need to respect that distance or switch to a sidearm for close encounters. And as with any sniper platform, budget time to test different BB weights and hop-up settings—your grouping will tell you more than the factory number ever will.
