Lancer Tactical Ed Brown SOCOM 1911 Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol, Black/Tan

Drills on a 1911 do not translate to a striker-fired sidearm, and vice versa. If your training gun runs on a different manual of arms than your carry platform, you are building muscle memory for the wrong thing. The Ed Brown SOCOM 1911 Gas Blowback Pistol is a licensed replica built for players who want slide manipulation, manual safety, and single-action trigger resets in their airsoft loadout.

Blowback that trains real habits. The gas blowback system cycles the slide on every shot — the way a real 1911 does. That reciprocating action is the whole reason players pick GBB over spring or electric: it forces you through the full manual of arms, from racking to loading to clearing. You are not just shooting; you are running the gun.

The SOCOM build. Extended slide with a threaded barrel that accepts mock suppressors. Suppressor-height sights sit taller than standard 1911 iron work, giving a cleaner sight picture with or without a can on the end. The optic-ready plate on top means you can run a red dot if you prefer — no drilling, no fitting a separate slide.

Velocity sits right. Rated 320–350 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That clears most indoor field caps and runs comfortably at outdoor pistol limits too. Green gas output drops in cold weather, so expect the number to fall when temps dip — chrono with your own BBs before game day.

Before you buy. Green gas is propane with a lubricant mixed in, and that lubricant is part of how the gun keeps itself running — do not swap it for straight propane. CO2 runs hotter, gives a harder kick, and will chew through seals on a gas-rated gun. The 25-round mag is the 1911 pattern for this platform, which is narrower than universal mags like an M4 ecosystem. Plan on two or three spares for a full game.

Externally it is metal where it counts — slide and frame — with polymer controls. The Weaver/Picatinny rail on the dust cover accepts standard weapon lights and lasers. Black and tan colorway.
