Element Airsoft AEG Lightweight Polycarbonate Piston w/ 1 Steel Tooth

Speed gears and a light spring raise your rate of fire, but they also put extra stress on the piston, which has to cycle faster and hit the cylinder head harder. A full-steel piston is overkill here. The Element polycarbonate body is light and strong enough for the job, and the single steel tooth at the leading edge does the heavy lifting: it meshes with the sector gear each cycle and survives the repeated impact where an all-plastic tooth would crack or wear down.

Polycarbonate pistons with partial steel teeth are the standard upgrade path for speed builds. The lighter mass means the gears don't have to drag as much weight through the cycle, which translates to smoother, faster cycling and less stress on a speed-optimised gear set. It is not designed for heavy-spring or high-torque setups — a full-steel rack belongs there.

Fits standard V2 AEG platforms. Actual performance depends on installation quality, your barrel length, nozzle seal, and the rest of your gear set. For best results, have it installed by someone familiar with AEG timing and shimming.
