The Fast SF Right Angle Vent is FMA's take on the military-style helmet most airsoft players see on milsim fields. Built from ABS, it is the heavier end of helmet materials — heavier than polycarbonate and nylon composites, but tough, and infinitely more common in this price bracket. The 785g weight sits where you'd expect for ABS; it'll register on your neck after a long day, but that's the trade for the price.
What you can attach. The helmet carries a modular bungee shroud around the perimeter — a continuous cord channel that lets you mount accessories at any point without drilling or adhesives. A right-angle ARC rail sits on the side for NVG mounts and side-mounted gear, and a wide external Velcro panel across the back covers the standard STANAG patch size. If you need a headlamp, night-vision brackets, or a camera mount, the bungee and ARC rail cover the usual use cases.
Comfort for extended wear. The included suspension liner is a removable cloth and foam interior with mesh panels along the top for airflow. Memory foam padding along the brow and crown cushions impact and reduces the helmet's tendency to bounce. The liner grips the head better than the cheap drawstrings on entry-level helmets, and it comes out if you want to wash it or replace it with a different system.
The vent question. Right-angle vents run along the side of the shell — they improve airflow without opening up a large area that lets BBs through. They're a modest improvement over solid-shell helmets in hot weather, but don't expect them to keep your head cool in a full-loadout summer game. A bandana or balaclava still earns its keep.
Before you buy. This is an ABS helmet with practical modularity and nothing that makes it stand out against higher-tier builds. If you need a helmet that survives a tumble off a pallet or a shot from close range, it'll do the job. If you want something that doesn't weigh half a kilo more than your next-door rival's shell, look at polycarbonate or composite builds. Helmet only — no NVG mounts, headlamps, or patches included. Always check your field's protective-gear requirements before your first game.
