Most players carry three or four mid-cap magazines for a full game. The Golden Eagle SR25 hi-cap holds 420 rounds, so you go longer between reloads.

How a hi-cap works. You wind the follower before the game using the built-in winding wheel at the bottom, and the spring stores energy to feed BBs through the entire 420-round load. It rattles when you move because the BBs shift inside. That's the trade: more rounds, less silence.

What the metal shell buys you. The outer shell is metal. It will survive being dropped on concrete or kicked across a bunker. The metal adds weight, but it also means this magazine is not going to crack when you set it down hard.

Compatibility. This magazine is built for SR25 AEG platforms. It will not fit an M4. It will not fit an AK. If your gun uses an SR25 magazine well, this is the magazine you put in it. Golden Eagle SR25 magazines follow the same pattern as the platform, so spares are available from multiple manufacturers.

Before you buy. If you prefer mid-caps for their silence and lack of rattling, do not buy this. Hi-caps are for players who want fewer reloads and don't mind the noise. The winding wheel is at the bottom of the magazine, and you'll want to wind it fully before each game. Battery and charger are not included—that's for the gun, not the magazine.
