0.36g BBs sit in that middle ground between standard field AEGs and dedicated DMR or sniper setups. They're heavy enough to hold energy downrange and resist wind drift, but not so heavy that most outdoor-capable guns will struggle to cycle them.
Where these work. If you run a DMR at 425–450 FPS or a field AEG tuned to 400 FPS with a decent hop-up, 0.36g is where you start seeing real benefits. The extra mass keeps momentum better than 0.25g or 0.28g, so shots stay flatter past 150 feet. They also feed more reliably through tight-bore barrels than lighter weights, assuming your gun is actually tuned for them.
The trade-off. Heavier BBs move slower at the same joule output. A gun that chronos at 400 FPS on 0.20g might read 350 FPS on 0.36g, even though the energy is the same. Most outdoor fields chrono on 0.20g, so you're fine there. Indoor CQB lanes capping at 350 FPS on 0.20g will reject you regardless of BB weight, though. Check your field's actual policy before you show up.
What you get. 2000 rounds in a bottle. The black finish is standard for tactical play — less visible against most backgrounds. These are plastic, not biodegradable, so they're for general skirmish use rather than environmental-sensitive fields.
Before you buy. Make sure your gun is actually tuned for heavyweight BBs. A stock indoor CQB rig running 340 FPS on 0.20g will struggle to push 0.36g reliably. If you're unsure, start with a sample bottle before committing to 2000 rounds. Always test your chronograph with the BB weight you actually plan to use — factory ratings are just a starting point.
