Most gas rifles lock you into one fuel type. The KLI SR4 ZAROS runs on CO2, and that's a deliberate choice for this platform.
A 12g CO2 cartridge screws into the magazine and you're ready to go. CO2 holds its pressure in cold weather when green gas platforms thin out, and it gives you the higher output this rifle is rated for. The trade-off is per-round cost — CO2 cartridges run pricier than a tank of green gas, but the consistency is what you're buying.
Blowback action. The bolt cycles rearward with every shot, giving you authentic recoil impulse and bolt lock when the magazine runs dry. That tactile feedback is what separates GBB from gas without blowback, and it matters if you train with the rifle or just want the full experience on game day.
Velocity and role. Rated 400–450 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That sits squarely in DMR territory for most fields: semi-auto only, with minimum engagement distances typically between 50 and 75 feet. Chrono your actual output before your first game — CO2 pressure shifts with ambient temperature.
Externals. Full metal construction, black finish. Length runs 810–890mm depending on stock extension. Weaver/Picatinny rail tops the receiver for optics. Integrated hop-up is adjustable — dial it in at the chrono station with your BB weight of choice. This carries its weight; it's not a lightweight CQB gun, but the mass helps soak recoil on a high-pressure CO2 platform.
Before you buy. Ships with the rifle, one 35-round CO2 magazine, and the manual. You'll want spare magazines — 35 rounds go fast even in semi-auto. CO2 cartridges are an ongoing cost and are not included with the package.
What this isn't. It's a precision rifle for the mid-to-long game, not a rapid-fire carbine for tight indoor lanes. The velocity, weight, and semi-auto restriction put it in the DMR role.
