The M93R has a reputation that precedes it: select-fire capability in a pistol form, originally designed for officers who needed more than a sidearm but couldn't carry a rifle. The KSC M93R II Spartan brings that concept to airsoft with KSC's System 7 gas blowback platform, giving you semi-auto, three-round burst, and full-auto fire from a handgun. If you're looking for a CQB primary that doesn't require a long gun, or a backup that can actually lay down suppressive fire, this is the pistol built for that role.
How the burst mode works. The M93R's defining feature is its three-round burst fire mode, which fires exactly three rounds with a single trigger pull. This is different from full-auto: the burst is controlled by the gun's internals, not your trigger finger, which means consistent shot groups even under stress. The front folding grip stabilizes the weapon during burst fire and full-auto, making it easier to control recoil and stay on target. Deploying the grip takes a second or two and locks into place; folding it back down keeps the profile compact for transport or holster carry.
System 7 reliability. KSC's System 7 platform is known for smooth cycling and good gas efficiency. The polymer frame and slide reduce weight while maintaining durability, and the metal alloy outer barrel and internal components handle the stresses of blowback operation. At 2.47 pounds, it's heavier than a polymer entry pistol but lighter than full-metal alternatives, striking a balance between realism and carry weight. The adjustable hop-up lets you tune backspin for different BB weights and engagement distances.
Velocity and field use. Rated at 275 FPS on 0.20g BBs, this pistol sits comfortably inside typical indoor CQB limits and clears most outdoor sidearm caps. That velocity is appropriate for a handgun: you're not trading shots at 150 feet, but you'll be effective in the 50–100 foot range where pistols are actually used. As always, chrono with your own BBs before your first game—temperature and gas pressure both affect output.
Magazine ecosystem. The M93R II ships with a 24-round metal magazine and accepts both KSC M93R-specific mags and the broader KSC M9/M92 series gas magazines. That's a meaningful advantage over platform-locked pistols: spares are available from multiple SKUs, and you can run high-capacity M9 mags if you want more rounds between fills. Gas magazines are heavier than AEG mags, but the weight is part of the realism. Plan on two or three extras for a full day of burst-fire use.
Before you buy. This is a gas blowback pistol, so you'll need green gas or propane with silicone oil for each magazine. Battery and charger are not included—because none are needed. The internal layout is KSC-specific, so standard Marui upgrade parts won't fit. If you want to tune performance, look for KSC System 7-compatible internals: a tightbore inner barrel can push velocity slightly higher, and a softer hop-up bucking improves consistency with heavier BBs. The folding grip is functional, not decorative, but it does add length when deployed—measure your vehicle or bag if compact storage is a priority.
What this pistol is not for. The M93R is a CQB and close-range tool. At 275 FPS, it won't compete with field rifles at distance, and the 24-round capacity means frequent reloads during sustained fire. If your primary role is mid-range skirmishing, run a rifle and treat this as a backup. If you want a lightweight training pistol or a realistic sidearm for milsim scenarios where rules limit primary weapons, this is exactly what it's for.
Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
