Most kids show up to their first game with gear stuffed in a backpack or a duffel bag. They dig for magazines between points, forget their ear protection, and by the end of the day they've dropped at least one essential item. A proper vest solves that by giving them a dedicated place for everything, and it keeps their hands free to run.
The Lancer Tactical XS vest is built for younger players who want a real loadout without the bulk of an adult plate carrier. It uses 1000D nylon throughout, which is the same material you see on serious tactical gear. That means it can take the abuse of a full season of skirmishing without fraying at the seams or losing its shape.
Molle webbing for customization. The front and sides are covered in molle webbing, so you can attach mag pouches, admin pockets, and medical kits as your kid's needs grow. Start with two mag pouches and a dump pouch for their first few games. Add more later as they figure out what they actually carry.
Battle belt included. This comes with a matching battle belt, which is useful for kids who want to distribute weight or who find a full vest too warm. The belt attaches to the vest's cummerbund area, creating a modular system that works for CQB and outdoor fields alike.
Fit and sizing. This is the X-Small variant with adjustable shoulder and belt straps, sized for younger players. It is not a shrunken-down adult vest — the torso length and strap ranges are designed for children. If your player is nearing adult size or weighs over roughly 100 pounds, step up to a youth large or adult small instead.
What you'll need to add. The vest is bare when it ships. You'll want to buy mag pouches, an admin pouch, and possibly a hydration bladder for longer events. Velcro patches for ID and team markings are also separate purchases.
This is a training and skirmish vest, not a full plate carrier. It does not accept ballistic plates, and it is not meant for heavy sustained fire roles. For a kid learning the game, that is exactly right — it keeps them mobile and lets them focus on fundamentals rather than lugging around dead weight.
