Lancer Tactical's 16:1 gear set replaces the sector, spur and bevel gears in a standard Version 2 or Version 3 gearbox. It's a speed set. A 16:1 ratio finishes each cycle sooner than a stock 18:1 set, so rate of fire climbs and semi-auto feels sharper, but you give up torque, which makes it a match for light to moderate springs. The gears are full metal and cut to mesh with each other, so they should be installed together rather than mixing with old gears. Re-shim the gearbox from scratch after fitting, and set motor height by ear afterwards.
