Lancer Tactical 2018 Front/Back Pro Plate Carrier, Ranger Green

The 2018 Pro Plate Carrier is a two-panel (front and back only) plate carrier for players who want serious load-bearing without the weight of side armor. If you carry plates in a skirmish game but don't need side protection, or if you run plates in games where 360° coverage isn't required, this is a lighter, simpler alternative to a full surround carrier.

Front and back panels. Both the front and back panels are covered in laser-cut MOLLE — not just the sides, but the full face of each plate pocket. That means you can stack pouches in any arrangement on the front, on the back, or both, and move them around freely as your loadout changes. The side panels between the plates are solid nylon with no MOLLE, which is the trade-off for the lower weight and simpler setup.

Shoulders and fit. The shoulder straps use cord-guided QD connectors, so you can adjust the length on the fly and quick-release the whole carrier in an emergency. The straps are padded, and the QD system means you can swap in different sling configurations later if you want a single-point or two-point sling for movement-heavy games. Quick-disconnect buckles at the waist let you drop the carrier fast.

Extras that actually help. A drag handle sits between the plate panels for a buddy to grab you if you go down. A zippered panel on the back gives you a secure pocket for small items like a head lamp or phone.

The material. 500D Cordura nylon is the workhorse fabric for tactical gear. It's not the heaviest Cordura out there, but it's tough enough for regular skirmish use, and it keeps the carrier light.

Before you buy. Plates are not included. This carrier is designed for standard hard armor plates. You'll need to buy front and back plates separately, and the plate pockets don't hold soft armor well — they're shaped for hard plates. If you don't already have plates, budget for a pair. Also note that the side panels are solid nylon, not MOLLE, so if you want pouches on the sides, the options are limited.

Includes federally mandated blaze orange tip tab on the packaging.
