The Tokyo Marui MWS platform's stock bolt catch is zinc alloy. It holds the bolt back during a mag change until you hit the catch to drop the receiver. It also strips, cracks, and bends because the forces on a gas blowback bolt are substantial, and zinc is too soft for the job.
What changes. This is Lancer Tactical's Armory Division version in MIM steel. MIM — metal injection molding — produces a denser, more uniform part than cast zinc, which is why it takes the load without deforming. It's a drop-in replacement that matches the compact profile of the original; no filing, no shimming, no re-tuning the catch radius.
Who needs it. If you run a Tokyo Marui MWS-spec GBBR, especially in a high-cycle environment like regular skirmishing or training, replacing the zinc catch early is cheap insurance. You'll notice when it's gone — the bolt slips out mid-change or the catch itself snaps and leaves you stuck on a closed bolt with a live magazine still in the gun.
Fit. It's made for the Marui MWS line of GBB rifles. It does not fit non-MWS platforms or AEG rifles.
