When you're running an inner barrel between 451 and 590mm, a full bore-up cylinder is wasteful: it pushes more air than the barrel needs, adding noise and stress without buying velocity. This cylinder's port is positioned for that barrel range, so the compressed air has somewhere to go instead of fighting a sealed chamber.

What the threaded surface does. Standard cylinders rely on an O-ring pressed into a smooth groove. This one has a threaded external surface that accepts a silicone O-ring, which screws on and seats flush. The result is a tighter, more consistent seal that resists leaking during the compression cycle. Better seal means more of the spring energy goes into the BB instead of escaping sideways.

Chrome finish over standard steel. CNC-machined aluminum with a chrome interior. The smooth surface reduces friction on the piston O-ring, which means smoother operation, less wear, and more energy reaching the BB. It's one of those upgrades that matters more after a few thousand rounds.

Fit. This is a ported cylinder designed for inner barrels between 451 and 590mm. Check your gearbox version before ordering to ensure compatibility. Installation requires splitting the gearbox, and you'll want to pair it with a quality silicone O-ring sized for the threaded diameter. If your barrel falls outside that range, a different cylinder type is the right call.
