The Lancer Tactical Widowmaker W10 is constructed with a metal alloy upper and lower receiver, outer barrel, and handguard, providing a realistic weight and better field durability than polymer models. The only polymer parts on the rifle are the adjustable crane stock, the motor grip, and the included 140-round mid-cap magazine. Inside, the Gen 4 gearbox is paired with a factory-installed Gate Aster 2 Bluetooth ETU, which allows you to program trigger settings, check battery health, and update firmware directly via a smartphone app. This setup delivers a muzzle velocity of 380–400 FPS and utilizes a 290mm inner barrel for consistent range and accuracy in outdoor environments.

Because it is built on a standard Version 2 (V2) platform, the Widowmaker is fully compatible with most common upgrade parts, including long-type motors, V2 gear sets, AEG springs, and standard inner barrels. The Gate Aster 2 covers the electrical side, but swapping the stock motor for a high-torque neodymium version is a recommended next step. This upgrade improves trigger response and cycle speed, helping you get the most out of the Aster’s pre-cocking features.

Additionally, installing a 6.03mm tight-bore inner barrel and a high-quality hop-up bucking will help maximize the rifle's effective range. For those looking for maximum consistency, upgrading to a dual O-ring air nozzle and a CNC piston head is a straightforward way to stabilize FPS. Overall, this WAG Edition provides a high-end electronic foundation in a metal body that remains easy to tech on and customize.

Warning: The GATE Aster II runs hot on factory settings, so you should tweak the Active Brake before hitting the field. Use the GATE GCS App on your phone to connect via Bluetooth and head to General > Active Brake. Switching from the default "Manual 100%" to "Adaptive" is the best move for most setups. If you do use a manual PWM percentage, remember that higher numbers mean more heat. Always hit "Save" before closing the app to make the settings stick.
