Lancer Tactical Metal Red Laser Aiming Dot Sight, Black

A visible laser beam gives you an aiming point on the target itself, which matters when you're running suppressed, shooting from an angled position, or engaging at close range where iron sights get in the way. This is Lancer Tactical's metal laser module — simple, lightweight, and rail-mounted.

What it is and isn't. This is a laser sight, not a red dot optic. A red dot sight is what you look through to see a reticle; this is what projects a visible red beam onto your target so anyone downrange can see exactly where you're pointing. The two work better together than apart: a red dot for your eyes, a laser for the situation.

Build and footprint. All-metal construction in a compact 3.1-inch body weighing 2.9 oz. It mounts to a standard Picatinny rail. At 3.1 inches, it spans roughly three rail slots, so plan your real estate accordingly. The weight is low enough that it won't noticeably shift your gun's balance point, even on a lighter platform.

Before you buy. This ships as the laser sight only. Batteries are not included, and the specific cell type isn't specified on the sheet, so check the unit when it arrives — these modules typically take a single AAA or CR2032. Visible lasers like this one work best in lower-light conditions or indoors; daylight outdoors can make the dot harder to see on a bright surface.

Mounting. Attaches to any standard Picatinny rail. If you're adding it to a handguard that already carries a foregrip, plan the rail real estate — at 3.1 inches, it needs clear mounting space and a few inches of clearance behind it for the adjustment controls.

For indoor CQB, night games, or tactical training scenarios where knowing your point of aim at a glance matters, a laser is one of the smallest investments that makes the biggest difference.
