Lancer Tactical 1000D Nylon Quick Depart Plate Carrier, Tan

The quick-depart plate carrier does one thing: it lets you ditch it in a second. The cummerbund uses a single-point release that, when you pull it, peels the whole vest off your body in one motion. That matters when you're waiting for medevac in a milsim game, when a carrier gets caught on something you can't wiggle free of, or when you just need to shed heat fast without a zip, a buckle fiddle, or six hands.

What's in the carrier. It's a four-pocket shell built from 1000D nylon — front and back, left and right. The plate pockets accept both soft SAPI plates and AR500 steel or ceramic hard plates. The carrier ships with the nylon pockets installed in each panel, so you're ready to drop your plates in when you get them. The carrier does not include plates. If you walk out of the shop without ordering them first, you're wearing an expensive harness.

MOLLE everywhere. The entire front and back are covered in MOLLE webbing, so you can configure whatever pouch layout you actually use instead of accepting whatever someone else thought you'd need. The back webbing also doubles as attachment points for hydration packs if you run one.

Fit. The shoulder straps and cummerbund adjust, and it fits a broad range of body sizes. It runs a bit bulky from the start — quick-depart carriers don't get slimmer — but that's the trade for having a single-point release that actually works under load.
