It's a plate carrier. Lancer Tactical's version adds a quick-release mechanism that matters a great deal more than the usual marketing around these things, because when something goes sideways at the field — you're tangled in a tree line, you've taken a hit near the neck, you need that weight off in a hurry — yanking a cord to ditch the whole thing in one motion is not a gimmick.
What you get. Just the carrier in medium, in black, built from nylon fabric. It's the starting point of a plate-sim loadout: slip in soft-insert or hard-plate reproductions through the front and back pockets, and the carrier gives you the silhouette that makes a milsim build land. Without plates it's a light vest with pouch space; with them it carries like the real thing, only lighter and without the risk.
Where it fits. This is the kind of vest that works everywhere on a typical skirmish field. For milsim, it's the base layer that makes your uniform look right and gives you something to mount mag pouches, comms, and other accessories onto. For regular skirmish play, it keeps your mags and gear off your belt so you aren't bouncing around when you're running cover. The quick-release means you never have to fight with buckles or zippers mid-game to get it off.
The quick-release. There's a cord you pull — usually across your chest or shoulder — and the entire carrier separates and falls away. It's a safety feature first: in a real medical emergency or if you get caught on an obstacle, removing body armor quickly matters. In airsoft it's the difference between fiddling with multiple straps for a full minute and being unencumbered in a second. That matters if you're running into tight spaces where something can snag.
Fitting a medium. The medium size is the standard mid-range cut. If your chest runs narrow or you play in a lean build, go small. If you layer cold-weather gear underneath, medium should still give you enough room for plates without constricting your movement. Try it on over the clothes you actually play in when you can — the fit you get in the shop over a t-shirt won't be the same as the fit you get in the field over a fleece.
Aftermarket ready. Standard pouches and accessory panels attach to the carrier without modification. You're not locked into Lancer's ecosystem. Pick up some 5.56 or 7.62 pouches to match your rifle's magazine pattern, a first-aid pouch for game day, and a comms pouch if you run radio discipline at your field.
Plates not included. The carrier's front and back pockets need insert plates or soft armor to give it shape and the look it's selling. If you want the solid front-and-back look, pick up plate reproductions that match your carrier's pocket dimensions. Without plates the vest hangs flat.
Includes black quick release plate carrier only — no plates, pouches, or accessories.
