Ripstop fabric does one thing and does it well: when the material gets snared, torn, or sliced, the woven grid stops the damage from spreading. That makes a meaningful difference in brush, through thickets, or on field days where gear takes punishment. Lancer Tactical's version of this concept is a pair of field pants built on that principle—workwear DNA, cargo pockets for gear, and no pretense about them being anything other than a solid pair of pants to wear when you need durability without a premium price.
The cut. These are a traditional cargo pant: straight leg, belt loop waist, and a standard fit through the hip and thigh. The light khaki is a practical field color—neutral enough for most outdoor environments, lighter than coyote brown, and a step away from black for players who want something more field-appropriate than an all-dark kit. Large fits the usual large size chart; if you're between sizes or plan to layer underneath on cold days, sizing up is the safer bet.
Pockets and pockets and pockets. Cargo pants earn their name from the side pockets, and these carry the pattern. Multiple storage pockets let you keep gear off your vest and body harness — BB tins, a multi-tool, gloves, a field notebook. How many you actually use during a game is personal, but having the capacity means your loadout can stay cleaner on the rest of your kit.
What they're good for. Skirmish days, milsim events that call for field-appropriate clothing, range days, or just a pair of pants that don't fall apart after two seasons of wear. They aren't specialized — no knee-pad pockets, no reinforced seat panel, no water-resistant treatment — which is exactly the point. These are a baseline field pant that does the basics well and costs what a baseline field pant should cost.
Who should look elsewhere. If you need integrated knee pad pockets, articulated knees, or a specific camouflage pattern, these aren't the build. They're a straightforward ripstop cargo pant, and that's what they do.
Pants only. No belt, no accessories, no accessories you'd find in the pockets.
