Maple Leaf makes inner barrels that are better than the factory ones in most GBB pistols. This one is 80mm, which is the standard length for compact pistols like the G17 and Hi Capa. It fits G17, G18, Desert Warrior, Hi Capa 4.3, and P226 platforms.
The 6.02mm bore. Factory barrels are usually 6.03mm or looser. A 6.02mm inner diameter gives you a tighter seal around the BB, which means more consistent velocity and better accuracy, especially with heavier BBs like 0.25g or 0.28g. You will notice the difference in shot-to-shot grouping, not raw FPS.
Brass with nickel plating. The barrel body is brass, which machines cleanly and resists corrosion. The nickel plating adds durability and makes cleaning easier. It is not a coated barrel that will wear off after a few hundred rounds.
Installation is straightforward. You will need to disassemble your pistol to swap the barrel. On most G17-style guns, this means removing the slide, taking out the guide rod and spring, and pulling the barrel out from the front. No special tools are required beyond a punch or something thin to push the pin if your model uses one. If you have never taken your pistol apart, watch a disassembly video for your specific platform first.
What this will not do. An inner barrel will not fix a poorly tuned hop-up. If your pistol shoots wide because the hop-up bucking is worn or the chamber is loose, a new barrel alone will not solve that. Pair this with a fresh bucking and proper hop-up adjustment for the best results. Also, this is not a long-range upgrade. At 80mm, you are still running a compact pistol barrel. Expect solid accuracy at typical CQB distances, not 180-foot engagements.
Includes only the inner barrel. Installation hardware and hop-up parts are not included.
