Maxim Defense MDX-510 AEG Airsoft Rifle w/ GATE V2 Aster, Black

Built for high-end performance and durability, this Maxim Defense rifle features a CNC-machined aluminum receiver and handguard with a hard-anodized black finish. To ensure it handles the stress of field use, Vega Force Company (VFC) utilized steel for critical components like the 14mm negative threaded outer barrel and assembly pins. While the metalwork provides a high level of realism, the Maxim Defense CCS stock and pistol grip are made from high-impact reinforced polymer to keep the build lightweight and ergonomic.

It runs on a VFC Avalon V2 gearbox that comes stock with steel gears, high-performance bearings, and a match-grade cylinder. The system is controlled by a GATE V2 Aster MOSFET, which provides programmable firing modes, pre-cocking, and active braking. Powered by a VFC long-type neodymium high-torque motor, the rifle reaches a rate of fire between 22–24 RPS when using an 11.1V LiPo battery. For power, the Maxim Defense CCS stock is designed to fit a stick-type battery with a T-plug (Deans) connector while maintaining a compact profile.

Because the Maxim Defense platform follows this standard V2 architecture, it is easy to swap in most aftermarket gears, pistons, or springs. The 275mm inner barrel and hop-up unit are also standard AEG-spec, so they're compatible with most third-party replacements. To get more range, you can drop in a 6.03mm tight-bore barrel and a high-quality bucking. Since this Maxim Defense model already ships with a GATE Aster and a high-torque motor, there isn't much need for immediate internal work, though switching to a brushless motor is an option if you want a faster trigger response and better heat management during long games.
