Maxim Defense PDX-SD AEG Airsoft Rifle w/ GATE V2 Aster, Tan

Manufactured by Vega Force Company (VFC), this rifle features a CNC-machined aluminum receiver and a specialized M-LOK handguard with a hard-anodized tan finish. VFC utilized steel for high-stress components, such as the assembly pins and the integrated mock suppressor, to ensure maximum longevity. To keep the build lightweight and ergonomic, the Maxim Defense CQB stock and pistol grip are made from reinforced high-impact polymer.

Underneath the hood, the PDX-SD utilizes the world-class VFC Avalon V2 gearbox, which includes reinforced steel gears, precision bearings, and a match-grade cylinder. This Maxim Defense model comes factory-fitted with a GATE V2 Aster MOSFET, allowing for advanced programming of fire modes, pre-cocking, and active braking. The system is driven by a long-type neodymium high-torque VFC motor, pushing a rate of fire between 22–24 RPS on an 11.1V LiPo. Uniquely, the battery is housed inside the mock suppressor, which is designed to fit a butterfly-style 11.1V LiPo (T-plug).

Because it uses the industry-standard V2 architecture, the Maxim Defense PDX-SD is highly compatible with most aftermarket upgrade parts, including high-speed gear sets, pistons, and standard AEG springs via the quick-change spring system. The 305mm inner barrel and hop-up unit are also standard AEG-spec. For an ideal upgrade path, we recommend installing a 6.03mm tight-bore barrel and a flat-hop bucking to maximize accuracy. The GATE Aster and high-torque motor already give you top-tier trigger response, so the next logical upgrade is a brushless motor. That keeps the build running cooler and makes semi-auto response even faster.
