Your laser module has a button on the side that your thumb can't reach while you're holding the forend. This solves that. The Ranger Armory pressure switch gives you a paddle right under your support hand, so the laser comes on with a thumb press instead of fumbling for a side button mid-contact.

What it plugs into. The 2.5mm connector is the standard plug size for PEQ15 replicas and most laser/illuminator units on the market. If your unit takes a 2.5mm cable, this switch sits between the unit and the cable, and you keep firing the laser from your grip position. Double-check your unit's plug before you buy — some older or proprietary units run different sizes.

Mounting. Aluminum body, rubber pressure pad on top. It comes with a set of picatinny rail mounts, so you can position it wherever your support hand sits most naturally. Slide it along the rail, clamp it down, and route the cable back to your unit. Placement matters more than position — you want it under your thumb without your fingers fighting for rail space.

What it is and isn't. This is a simple mechanical switch. It doesn't have modes, dials, or electronics beyond the basic on/off contact. It does one job well: lets you activate a laser without changing how you hold the gun. Pair it with any PEQ15-style unit or similar 2.5mm laser, and it's one less thing to think about when you're running.
