Solink's Lightweight Piston is a nylon polymer piston with three steel teeth at the front of the rack. Only the first few teeth carry steel, which is where the sector gear engages under the heaviest load, and everything behind is polymer. That keeps piston mass low, which suits a high-rate-of-fire build with a light spring, where every gram of reciprocating weight is energy the motor has to put in and pull back out. It's not the choice for a heavy spring build: with more force spread further along the rack, a polymer tooth under that load is what strips. Match the piston to your spring, and set the angle of engagement carefully on installation.
