Your usual CO2 or green gas airsoft rifle is already quite realistic and fun to fire, but consider this Tippmann Omega PV Carbine. This AEG fires like a dream but can be upgraded with a HPA stock to make it an electro-pneumatic airsoft gun. It’s a powerful option if you prefer realistic training options.
The handguard is a long piece of metal that comes with seven rows of M-LOK slots, meaning you can mount backup scopes or accessories diagonally. Diagonal optics are usually handy when you need a close-range option or have a malfunctioning primary optic. Using these can come naturally since you can quickly tilt the rifle to the side and aim.
The top Picatinny rail is seamlessly connected to the top receiver rail, a configuration that lets owners mount their favorite scope anywhere on the rail. You can even mount magnifiers if you prefer using red dot scopes but want to hit long-range targets.
The package comes with flip-up front and rear adjustable iron sights. Though they fold down when not in use, you can remove them if required. Otherwise, they work well with certain optics.
You get a molded polymer pistol grip that’s contoured to fit the human hand, a step above the standard M4 pistol grip. It has thumb rests for extra comfort as you hold the rifle in your hands.
The upgraded crane stock is more skeletonized than the typical example on an M4, though it works exactly the same way. The switch for adjusting the stock is a lever that you push down.
Uniquely, this AEG can be modified to use two 12g CO2 cartridges or HPA systems. This allows users to change the firing characteristics entirely.
