BBs don't just go for the torso. The lower face takes impact too — cheek, jaw, teeth — and most players either wear a full goggle mask or nothing at all. This is the in-between option: metal mesh protection for the lower half of your face, with ear pads built in, while you keep your own goggles on top.

The mesh panel covers from your nose bridge down to your chin. It's rigid metal mesh, so direct hits deform rather than penetrate, and the open structure means you breathe and talk normally. No fogging, no muffled voice behind a solid shield. The nylon headband wraps around the back of your head with adjustable strapping, and the padded ear cups sit where they should — over the shell on each side — giving you some noise reduction without the isolation of full ear pro.

At 10 ounces, it's not nothing, but it's light enough that you forget it's on after a few minutes. That's the trade: it won't stop a direct hit to the skull or give you full-face coverage, and you still need goggles or a visor for your eyes. It fills the gap between "just a t-shirt pulled up over my mouth" and a full-sealed goggle mask that gets hot and fogs when you're running CQB lanes.
