Solid metal alloy constructs the outer barrel, receiver block, bolt assembly, trigger system, top optics rail, and sling mounts, paired with a high-impact polymer thumbhole body. Weighing 10 pounds, the airsoft rifle features an adjustable hop-up and shoots 390 to 410 FPS using standard 0.20g BBs. The box includes the rifle, one 25-round magazine, and a magnification scope.

Standard Type 96 internal architecture accommodates drop-in components from aftermarket manufacturers, including Maple Leaf, Action Army, and LayLax.
