The desert tan WELL L96 AWP is a spring-powered bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle built on standard Type 96 internal mechanics. Metal alloy constructs the primary load-bearing components, including the outer barrel, upper receiver assembly, bolt handle, trigger unit, top RIS optics rail, and front and rear sling mounts. These metal parts mount directly into an ABS plastic thumbhole stock. Measuring 45.5 inches in overall length and weighing 7.6 pounds, the rifle uses an adjustable hop-up system to fire single shots between 390 and 410 FPS using standard 0.20g BBs. The package contains the rifle, a 24-round standard-capacity magazine, and a tactical carrying sling.

Non-proprietary Type 96 internal dimensions allow direct compatibility with aftermarket upgrade parts from brands like Action Army, LayLax, and Maple Leaf. Installing a tight-bore precision inner barrel and a high-grade hop-up bucking improves consistency and tightens shot groupings downrange. For high-velocity spring builds, running stiffer springs requires swapping the factory cylinder components for an aluminum piston, a 90-degree steel trigger assembly, and a steel spring guide to support the increased compression load.
