The WellFire AWP G96 is a bolt-action spring sniper rifle designed for outdoor play. It features a metal receiver, bolt, and barrel assembly paired with a polymer folding stock. The rifle comes with a 3-9x40mm metal scope mounted on a Weaver/Picatinny rail, and it includes a 23-round magazine, speedloader, and starter BBs. Rated at 470-480 FPS on 0.20g BBs, it uses an adjustable hop-up to tune trajectory.

Internally, the G96 uses a proprietary design rather than the standard VSR-10 blueprint, so standard VSR parts will not fit. Specific G96 components are required for upgrades. For better accuracy, a tightbore metal inner barrel and soft aftermarket hop-up bucking are recommended. Increasing velocity with stiffer springs requires a reinforced metal piston and steel trigger sear to handle the stress.
