WellFire's MK96 is a tan, bolt-action spring sniper rifle built on the APS-2 Type 96 platform. It shoots 6mm plastic BBs at a rated 390 to 410 FPS using 0.20g weight. The rifle weighs 10 pounds and combines a heavy-duty polymer stock with a solid aluminum outer barrel and receiver. An adjustable hop-up lets you dial in trajectory for better accuracy at range.

Internals clone the Maruzen APS-2 Type 96, so standard VSR-10 upgrade parts will not fit. You need specific Type 96 components for any modifications. If you plan to install a higher-tension spring, upgrade to a reinforced 90-degree steel-sear trigger box to handle the stress. Heavyweight 0.30g or 0.36g match BBs will stabilize the shot better than standard weights.

The package includes the rifle, a magnifying scope, a folding metal bipod, a 25-round magazine, starter BBs, an Allen wrench, and the instruction manual.
