The WellFire MK96 Covert is a spring-powered bolt-action sniper rifle built on the Maruzen Type 96 platform. It delivers 440 to 460 FPS with 0.20g BBs, using a metal inner and outer barrel to maintain accuracy. The adjustable hop-up allows for trajectory tuning, while the polymer stock keeps the rifle light enough for field carry. Compatibility is specific: this uses Type 96 internals, meaning standard VSR-10 upgrade parts are not interchangeable. For higher velocity builds, a reinforced steel-sear trigger box is required to prevent internal failure. Heavy BBs like 0.32g or 0.36g stabilize better in the wind and suit the longer range role. The package includes the rifle, a 40-round magazine, a scope, and a bipod.
