The problem with a direct-drive HPA setup is that every shot is pulling straight from tank pressure. As the tank drops, so does your velocity, and the report is loud enough to draw looks from the parking lot. The Storm regulator sits in the grip and solves both at once.
What an in-grip regulator does. It takes the high pressure from your tank and drops it to a consistent, lower pressure that feeds the engine. The result is shot-to-shot consistency that doesn't drift as the tank empties, a noticeably quieter report, and the ability to tune velocity by adjusting the regulator rather than the fill pressure. Most in-grip regulators also let you swap the entire grip module to change output for different fields without buying a second tank.
How the Storm fits in. At 4.25 inches long and 0.31 lbs, this is a full metal alloy regulator that drops into compatible Wolverine grip modules. Wolverine's HPA platforms use interchangeable grip regulators, so the Storm is one of several output options you can swap into the same air system. That means you can run a low-output regulator for indoor CQB and swap to a higher one for outdoor field days without touching your engine or tank.
Compatibility. The Storm works with HPA, SLC, and CO2 tank systems. If your setup runs one of those three, this regulator can sit in it. Check your grip module's model number before ordering — Wolverine grips are not all interchangeable across their lineup, and the Storm fits specific platforms rather than all of them.
Before you buy. This is a regulator, not a complete grip. You need a compatible Wolverine grip module to install it into. If you don't already have one, factor that into your budget. And if you're building from scratch, pick your target output first — indoor fields cap lower, and you don't want a regulator you can't bring within limits.
