Feeding problems on an AEG usually come down to timing. If the sector gear retracts the air nozzle too early in the cycle, you get double-feeds, dry fires, or rounds that jam against the bucking lips. A sector gear delayer shifts that timing back so the nozzle waits its turn.

What it does. This is a thin metal washer that installs on the sector gear pin, physically pushing the gear a fraction farther away from the shell. The result: the gear’s underside engages the tappet plate later in the cycle, which delays nozzle retraction and gives the fired BB time to clear the chamber before a fresh round rises. Players use it when troubleshooting unreliable feeding, when pairing with a short-stroked piston, or when tuning a heavy-spring build where the default timing starts to run hot.

Material and fit. Cast bronze. Softer than the aluminum sector gear it rides against, so wear happens on the delayer rather than the gear—which is the part you want replacing. Fits any standard V2 or V3 gearbox, which covers the vast majority of Marui-pattern AEGs. The PSG-1 and UZI use non-standard shell layouts, so they’re not compatible.

Before you buy. A delayer is a tuning part, not a cure-all. If your feeding issues come from a worn bucking, a stripped piston rack, or bad air seal, no amount of timing adjustment fixes that. Install it if you’ve ruled out the usual suspects and still need to fine-tune when the nozzle retracts. Comes as a single delayer.
