Your spring carbine shoots where it's told, but you can tell it better. The Action Army 6.03mm Extreme Precision inner barrel is a drop-in upgrade for the Gas Type 96 that tightens the bore, smooths the walls, and gives your hop-up something more consistent to work with.

Why the bore matters. At 6.03mm, this is tighter than the standard 6.17mm most spring guns ship with. The narrower bore improves air efficiency and gives the hop-up bucking a better seal around the BB, which translates to tighter groupings at range. Pair it with a quality bucking and BBs in the 0.25g to 0.32g range, and you'll see the difference.

Length. At 300mm, this barrel is built for the Type 96's carbine profile. Barrel length should roughly match your outer barrel — too short and you waste the outer tube, too long and it won't seat. Cylinder volume matching follows the same rule: the cylinder port position should line up with barrel length for best results.

Construction. Brass body with a hard chrome lining inside. That chrome finish is smooth and durable, so friction stays low and velocity remains consistent from shot to shot. The tighter bore combined with the polished surface gives each BB a cleaner, more repeatable pass through the barrel.

Before you install. This is a Type 96 barrel, not a VSR-10. They share a platform but aren't interchangeable. Always chrono and zero in after installing a new barrel — your hop-up setting will need to change.
