The C5 is the kind of communication headset you see on most players at a game day, for exactly the right reasons: it works, it fits under a helmet, and it doesn't require a circuit board or a pairing procedure. You clip it on, plug in a 3.5mm cable, and your team can hear you over the noise of the field.

Build and comfort. The shell and headband are injection-moulded nylon 35 fibre — tough, light, and flexible enough that you can bend it without cracking it. The earpads are thick closed-back foam that isolates your teammate's voice without creating that suffocating, overheated-ear feeling you get with thinner pads after two hours in the sun. The headband adjusts with a sliding clasp; there's no ratchet, and that's fine.

Microphone that actually reaches you. The boom mic mounts on a flexible gooseneck, so you can position it right against your cheek for clean voice transmission, swing it back when you're chatting at the staging area, or flip it up out of the way entirely. It's a simple element on the end of a wire — position it once and leave it there.

Helmet compatibility and plug. The closed-back earcups sit comfortably under most helmet liners and soft caps. If you run a hard-shell helmet with thick padding, try it in the parking lot first — most players make it work, but a snug-fitting liner plus a wide headband on a large head can get tight. The headset ships with a standard 3.5mm stereo plug that connects to whatever comms system your team is running. No harness, no Y-cable, no proprietary connectors.

Before you buy. This is a utilitarian headset, not an audiophile product. You're buying it for communication, not for listening to music between games. It does that job reliably.
