A BB to the jawbone hurts worse than most people expect. Goggles cover your eyes and bridge of the nose, but your chin and lower cheeks stay wide open. The AMA Neoprene Lower Face Mask fills that gap — hard foam where the impact hits, neoprene against your skin so it stays put and doesn't chafe.
What's protecting you. The mask layers a firm foam core inside a neoprene shell. Foam takes the hit: it absorbs and spreads the impact so your teeth and jawbone don't have to. Neoprene is the comfort layer: flexible enough to bend when you talk, moisture resistant so it doesn't get heavy with sweat, and close-fitting enough that the mask doesn't bounce around when you're running a lane. The ACU pattern is the digital mottled grey-green-brown from the US Army's older combat uniform — functional camo that matches a military-style loadout if that's how you run.
Fit you can adjust. An elastic strap wraps behind the head and adjusts so you can dial in how tight or loose it sits. The package includes adhesive-backed padding so you can add extra cushion where your face needs it — inside the cheek pockets, under the chin, wherever the mask rubs or leaves a gap. Stick the pad on, and it stays on through games.
Before you buy. This is a lower face mask. It works with goggles, not instead of them. You still need eye protection rated for airsoft impact coverage for the upper face; this handles the rest. It's straightforward protection at a low price point, not a precision-molded pro mask, and that's exactly what it's supposed to be.
