Ares M4 Blast Shield TYPE E, Black

The blast shield is a simple but useful piece of kit, especially if you play in tight indoor spaces where your teammates are positioned close behind you. It bolts onto Ares flash hiers and redirects the blast cone downward instead of letting it spread outward — meaning the gas and hot air that would otherwise hit the player to your side or behind you go straight into the ground.

Why it matters. On a standard flash hider the blast fans out in a wide cone. In a CQB arena that cone catches the player beside you at the next doorway, or the teammate holding the corner behind your shoulder. A blast shield funnels that cone downward, so it still hits the ground, but not the player standing next to you. There's a small trade-off: redirecting the blast means the shooter feels a bit more blast themselves, but most players find the benefit to the team worth it.

Build. The TYPE E is machined from aluminum alloy and finished in matte black. It's built to stay on the rifle through normal play without loosening, and it adds minimal weight up front. Compatible with Aers flash hiers — make sure the hider you have is one the shield bolts onto before you buy.
