Atlas Custom Works' 9mm steel ball bearings replace the bushings in most 9mm AEG gearboxes. Ball bearings spin with less friction than bushings, so the motor works a little less hard and the gearbox spins up faster. Proper installation matters more than with bushings: they need to sit square in the shell with the gears shimmed correctly, since a bearing running out of true can destroy itself and damage the gearbox. If you aren't confident with a shim stack, this is a job worth handing to a tech.
