What an outer barrel does. On a GBB pistol, the outer barrel is mostly cosmetic—it frames the slide and sets the visual profile. It doesn't change internal ballistics or hop-up, and it won't alter your FPS. If you're chasing range or consistency, that work happens inside the hop-up chamber and bucking, not at the muzzle.
