If you run an AK in a tight vehicle or through CQB lanes, the fixed stock is the thing that fights you. The Atlas Custom Works ACR-style folding stock replaces it with a mechanism that collapses the rifle's length without swapping the whole receiver. It's built for the LCT and GHK AK74S, AK104, and AK105—models that use the standard rear trunnion mounting pattern.
How the fold works. The stock pivots at the rear trunnion and locks with a latch on the side. When folded, it cuts the overall length enough to fit through car doors and tight corners. When deployed, the locking tab seats firmly so there's no play at the shoulder during firing. The latch is easy to reach with a gloved hand, but you'll want to cycle the fold a few times at home before your first game to get the motion down.
Externals. The main body is high-strength polymer with metal reinforcement at the hinge and locking points. The buttpad is textured rubber, which grips your shoulder better than the smooth polymer pads that come on most factory AK stocks. The tan finish matches most flat-coy or desert AK variants.
What you need to install it. The stock comes as the stock only—no tools, no extra hardware, and no detailed instructions. You'll need a punch set or a good hex key depending on your rifle's existing screw pattern, and about fifteen minutes if you've swapped stocks before. Watch a quick installation video for your specific LCT or GHK model before you start. Once it's on, you're done—no tuning required.
This is a functional upgrade, not a weight saver. If you want a lighter rifle, a polymer fixed stock or a PDW brace will be lighter. But if you need the folding capability for transport or CQB, this is one of the more reliable options for the AK platforms it fits.
