The fastest way to turn a full-length M4 AEG into something you can actually carry through a crowd is swapping the buffer tube. Atlas Custom Works makes a pistol-length tube that drops right in — metal construction, black finish, and compatible with most M4/M16 AEGs.
It bolts on like a standard buffer tube. You're trading shoulder comfort for a rifle that's noticeably shorter and easier to maneuver in tight CQB lanes.
What to pair it with. A short or extra-short buffer is the way to go. A full-length buffer in a pistol tube gives you a hard slam on cycle, which adds stress to the gearbox. If your stock is adjustable, the range of positions shifts — some settings may not be reachable depending on how much travel the stock has.
What's not included. Buffer and spring are sold separately, so check what pairing you need before you start unboltling things.
