The Exoskeleton mount solves a specific problem for Hi-CAPA builders: how to add a red dot without milling the slide or running a bulky top-plate. Atlas Custom Works designed this as an optic interface that keeps the pistol's profile compact for practical use.
What the mount does. It provides a flat, stable platform for mounting optics on compatible Hi-CAPA frames. The exoskeleton-style design is intended to reduce weight while maintaining rigidity. You do not need to cut your slide, and you avoid a slide-mounted plate that adds height to your sight picture.
The thumb rest. An integrated thumb rest sits on the left side of the frame, giving you a contact point for grip control. This is useful on race setups where you cycle the pistol fast and need consistent hand placement.
Compatibility. This mounts to Hi-CAPA GBB frames. It does not convert a non-optic-ready pistol into an optic-ready one; your frame needs to be compatible with the Exoskeleton design. Check your specific frame model before ordering.
What you need to know. The mount does not include an optic. You will need to source your red dot separately and use the appropriate mounting plates or interface. The thumb rest adds a small amount of width to the grip side, which may affect fit in tight holsters. This is a frame component only.
This is a parts-level upgrade for builders who want a clean optic setup on their Hi-CAPA. If you are running a stock pistol and just want to add a dot, verify frame compatibility first.
